Pink Magazine held a VIP PINK PARTY for Market Days to benefit The Center on Halsted in Chicago, on August 5, 2010 which honored two respected women who made a difference for the LGBT community and human rights in Chicago. They received the PINK Community Service Award for their outstanding work!!!
- Sara Feigenholtz the State Representative for the 12th district (gay district) who is serving Illinois for over two decades. Some of her toughest fights and legislative victories include access to sterile syringes without a prescription, increased AIDS Drug Assistance funding (ADAP), HIV prevention measures and expansion of KidCare and Family Care.
- Vernita Grave an activist who lead the way for the rights and quality of life for the LGBT community in Chicago for the last 45 years.
